Pittodrie is a 20 minute walk from the centre of Aberdeen, so most visiting fans elect to do their drinking there prior to the game. It just gives you a wider variety of options, which can really help set the mood for the day! There are pubs in the vicinity of the stadium, but they are pretty much exclusively for home fans, so not advised for visitors.

There isn't a glut of pubs near the Pittodrie Stadium, however that doesn't mean your trip to the Pittodrie Stadium has to be a dry one. The nearby Bobbin on King Street is very popular on match days – great beers and pool tables will bring the punters in, so make sure to get there early as it can get quite cramped!Otherwise you should stay in Aberdeen city centre and enjoy some of the great pubs here! There are some great pubs in regenerated buildings – Slains Castle is a Dracula themed pub inside an old castle, and The Old School house was a, well you can guess! If you are after something a little more familiar, then the Archibald Simpson is a Wetherspoons.
