How do I get to Olympiastadion?

Olympiastadion is a venue in or near Berlin that is most often used for Soccer

Berlin has a really impressive public transportation city – meaning that you can easily get to the stadium from wherever you are based in this enormous city. The metro (U-Bahn) system, has 2 lines that stop at the Olympiastadion, both the U2 and the U12 travel here and you can catch these trains from all over the city. From Potsdamer Platz you are looking at about a 20-minute ride! The tram system also passes by the arena. From the main train station, you can hop on the S5 or S75 – the journey will take you around 45 minutes though, so your best bet is the underground system.

Parking lots are very limited around the stadium although it is more than 10km from the city center. I highly recommend either getting there by train or by metro. When coming by train from outside of Berlin get off your train at "Zoologischer Garten” and either take the S5 or S75 towards "Spandau”. Get off at the "Olympiastadion Berlin” station. When taking the so-called U-Bahn (metro) get on the lines U2 or U12 towards the Olympic Park and get off at the "Olympia Stadion” station.

The Olympiastadion is hardly central, but Berlin's excellent public transport system makes it easy to reach. There are regular, direct S Bahn trains from all over the city centre, including the Hauptbahnhof main station, Alexanderplatz and Friedrichstraße. The U2 subway also goes straight to the stadium, with connections from Berlin-Zoo station and the popular Charlottenburg district.
