Best Pubs around Villa Park?

Villa Park is a venue in or near Birmingham that is most often used for Soccer

Villa Park is a home fan's dream when it comes to pubs: there are loads within close proximity to the venue, each with a thriving atmosphere and loads of beers on tap. There's no single "best” venue, so just go with your instincts. For away fans, The Whitton Arms is a decent shout, but costs £2 to get in. There aren't many options for taking on good quality ale, sadly, so you might be best to head into town proper after the match to get the good stuff!

The area around Villa park has home fans spoiled for choice when it comes to pubs. All home fans pubs however are strictly controlled on match days - as trouble has been known to happen and if you haven't got a match day ticket, and you can't charm the bouncers then forget about it.There is a decent selection of pubs for away fans as well. The Witton Arms is the closest to the away entrance - but with it costing £2 to get in, and the pub divided in two with home and away fans on either side - the atmosphere can get a bit frosty. If you are willing to walk about 10 minutes, there are better options, with The New Adventurers and The Hare of the Dog being good options and away friendly. If you fancy some excellent ales however, take a walk to the Barton Arms - a CAMRA listed pub with great ales and tasty Thai food.
