The gastronomic capital of Northern Italy – Bologna is the heartland of Spaghetti Bolognaise, but there is so much more than the legendary pasta dish here! Salumeria Simoni is always popular with tourists and locals alike, and it is easy to see why! Think of it more as a cross between a deli and wine bar than a restaurant – it pairs some wonderful Italian wine with some exquisite meats and cheeses! As restaurants go, StreeTOAST is more of a hole in the wall type place than a sit-down dinner spot – but it does toasted sandwiches arguably better than anyone else in the country. If Italian food has proved a bit too rich for you, or you simply want to mix it up, Beirut Snack is a fantastic Lebanese restaurant with some cracking Meze plates.

What to expect from the Stadio Renato DallAra crowd?

The home fans have based themselves behind both the North and South Stands, and with the away fans tucked away in their own little corner, it's clear that the home fans really have the run of the joint. Whilst this gives the home team a good boost – it does take away from the give-and- take aspect of fiercely competed games. The running track that separates the stands from the pitch does nothing to help the atmosphere here.

The home fans can be found behind both goals which creates a decent atmosphere, with the away fans being tucked away in the South West Corner. However, the East Stand has a cracking feature that really makes the stadium stand out among its counterparts – a great tower – almost making the Stadio look like a fortress!
