If you are making the journey from the main station you can catch the Number 21. It leaves around 4 times an hour and will take 20 minutes to reach the stadium. Otherwise you can catch the 21 from the city centre or get yourself to 'Via Rizzoli' and hop on the Number 14.

The home fans have based themselves behind both the North and South Stands, and with the away fans tucked away in their own little corner, it's clear that the home fans really have the run of the joint. Whilst this gives the home team a good boost – it does take away from the give-and- take aspect of fiercely competed games. The running track that separates the stands from the pitch does nothing to help the atmosphere here.

There aren't too many typical bars or pubs around the stadium, though the popular restaurants of La Languouste, San Gennaro Pizzeria and Pizzeria Ciclope will all be full before the game. If you are looking to find more of a traditional pub, the best bet will be to stay in the city centre and try places such as the Celtic Irish Druid Pub and the BrewDog Bar – serving a great range of the ever increasingly popular craft beer.

Be sure when going to buy your tickets (if you are not buying them online), to being along your passport or some sort of identification. For some reason, you won't be able to buy the ticket without it! And if you get to the ground and your ID doesn't match the name on the ticket…good luck getting in to the ground.
