In the run up to the 2006 world cup over 115 million Euro was poured into the stadium to make it a fantastic experience. The running track was removed which has created a more intimate experience and personal feel to the place. Not bad when you consider that it's capacity is 50,000. Unlike a lot of modern stadium's it has 4 separate stands.If you want an unforgettable experience make sure you get either a seat or a standing ticket in the South Stand – here you will be surrounded by chanting fans, waving flags and twirling banners – it's a great sight!

Ticket prices are a bit more expensive than the average price, they are in between 65€ (category 1, main stands) and 33€ (upper echelons). However, it is only 16€ for the stances, but they sell out pretty quickly. If planning on seeing a game, make sure you book the tickets some days in advance as tickets often sell out right before a match.
