If you fancy the taste of some expertly cooked lamb, served up with hummus, pitta and much more – then Bosporus really is the place for you! It's popularity with the locals really makes it a hot spot in the city.German food can be a little heavy – so if you are after something a little lighter – or perhaps something with a little more cheese, why not head to Pizzeria Trattoria Romantica. Offering a taste of Italy in Dusseldorf, their pizza is to die for and their prices are pretty hard to beat.Sometimes nothing else will do than an enormous steak – luckily, this is what The Bull Steak Expert GmbH specialise in! They serve some of the best steaks in the county – and yes this is going to be expensive, but sometimes, for the right steak – you've just gotta do it.

About 800m from the stadium just next to the metro station "Messe Ost/Stockumer Kirchstr.” are several places to get food. My favorite place is "Restaurant Kastanie” where they serve good food for fair prices. If you feel like having Italian food, just around the corner there is "Trattoria Mercatino” who also have a nice area to sit outside. Decent food! If you just want something quick I can also recommend "Grillstube Martin van Helden” where you will get original German dishes from the grill, fast and rather cheap.

The area around the Esprit Arena is not really a great place to eat, but the city in general certainly is. Around the stadium you'll find nothing of interest besides fast food - the usual pizza and bratwurst that you can get inside - so for something more stimulating, then head into town. One of the quirks of Düsseldorf is that it is home to Germany's largest Japanese community, so the sushi options are fantastic, particularly around Berliner Allee and Klosterstraße near Oststraße U-Bahn station on the same line as the stadium.
