You'll have to take a drive over the hill into Hartford as there really isn't anything close by the field. Plan B Burger Bar & Tavern has burgers – beef and chicken, freshly ground by in-house butchers, no hormones or antibiotics. Huge selection of burgers, appetizers, sides, big plates, chili, soups, salads, housemade dressings. Vegetarian options. Serving a good selection of beer and bourbon. Pig's Eye Pub has a large selection of draft beers, local and premium beers, daily drink and happy hour specials. DJ, pool tables, outdoor patio seating, cheap drinks, and laid back atmosphere.
Since this venue is located literally in the middle of nowhere, you won't find anything to do in the area immediately surrounding the arena. They have a great tailgating scene that is pleasant, and tame with respectful and welcoming fans. You'll find the tailgaters to be fun, friendly, lively, and hugely entertaining. Also note that purchasing beer inside the stadium is fairly expensive and there is a one beer per person, per purchase policy. They stop selling beer midway through third quarter.
All guests and their belongings are subject to search at the discretion of security and event staff. There is no re-entry into the stadium. Foul or abusive language, drunken and disorderly conduct are grounds for ejection. Large and highly visible presence of security officers.
There are two levels of seating consisting of mostly metal bleachers without backs, some have individual blue seating with chair backs on both levels around midfield. All seats are angled towards the 50” yard line so you can see from anywhere you end up sitting. Tickets range from $60-$75 for individual seats and from $33 to $38 for bleacher seating. Considering all seats have a good view of the action on the field, you would be okay going with the less expensive tickets.

The venue typically has about an 85% to 90% turn out with a decent representation from the students. The crowd is definitely into the game and while their cheers aren't deafening, they are involved and engaged. Their marching band adds to the overall experience performing throughout the game.
There is parking available in the lots surrounding the stadium which will run you $15. You'll want to arrive early since regular fans tend to stake out the prime spots in advance.
You'll find 17 permanent concession stands along the outer edge of the concourse. You'll find hot dogs, burgers, chicken tenders, grilled chicken sandwiches, pizza, salads, wraps, soups, Mexican and BBQ items. There are usually food trucks with their own offerings as well.
