Lucas Oil Stadium is a venue in or near Indianapolis that is most often used for Football
Ram Restaurant and Brewery has a great selection of hamburgers and steaks for a low cost and lots of different choices for alcohol. There is also Scotty's Brewhouse which doesn't have as good as food but the atmosphere and drinks are cheaper.
The seating here is great for football but not for basketball or concerts because you are too far away from everything. The stadium is built for fans on the lower levels and sometimes sitting up high limits the amount you can see clearly but they have giant jumbotrons for those unlucky to sit high up in the rafters.
The Colts have their banners with their appearances in the Super Bowl, AFC Championships, and then retired numbers of Unitas and other Colt's greats.
There are scalpers but there are lots of police officers who are undercover trying to bust people selling them and making money so be careful who you deal with.
The Colts are great at giving away horseshoe gear, bobble heads of Manning, Unitas, Faulk, Dickerson, and James. They also give away t-shirts, hats, and calendars.
The stadium is located in downtown Indianapolis and is at the southern end of the city. It is close to the Capitol and located next to the convention center.
Indianapolis is a great city and has the Capitol there, a lot of parks to take the family too, a zoo, a kids discovery center that has reptile exhibits and buildings, etc. There are also places to fish, trails for bike riding and you can check out the historic gym from the Hoosiers movie.
There is surprisingly not much traffic before or after the games and the stadium is located by freeways but a lot of other streets can get you there so that it doesn't all jam up.
The crowd are great and they really love their Colts and especially Manning and now Luck. You can see this by people still wearing Manning jerseys everywhere. They have also been spoiled as a result of having 20 good years of playoff football and more to come.
Indianapolis is a very clean and friendly city with lots of parks and I have walked by myself late at night and never had a problem. There are also thousands of people walking with you so it shouldn't be a problem.
The stadium has a decent choice of snacks and meals that range from chicken fingers, gyros, salads, hot dogs, hamburgers, and then drinks from beer to coke.
I would try to sit down as close to the field as you can so you can hear Andrew Luck direct the team. There are also so many hand motions, nuances that you dont see high up so if you get a chance go sit close to the sidelines.
There is free parking on the streets at the north end of the city and on some parallel streets but you have to be lucky and early to get them. Parking close to the stadium runs you around $25-$45 depending on which lot.
Like I said I like the Ram Restaurant and Brewery. They have Arby's, Subway and other places close to the stadium. I was told Harry and Izzy's steakhouse is good and a local place but I didn't try it.
The Colts team store has a lot of your normal hats, jerseys, and t-shirts. They also have collectible football cards, footballs, and other memorabilia signed by players. There are also little shops throughout the stadium selling Colts gear.
