Best Food and Drink at Stamford Bridge?

Stamford Bridge is a venue in or near London that is most often used for Soccer

Stamford Bridge is one of the more upscale football stadiums in the country, in keeping with the surrounding boroughs of Fulham and Chelsea. As such it has ample dining opportunities at the ground. Stamford Bridge has 3 restaurants that are all open on match days and all open to the general public - so make sure you book a table in advance. 'Marco's Grill' is Marco Pierre White's franchise restaurant and steakhouse opens after the game has finished. 'Frankies Sports Bar and Diner' is open throughout the game and so even if you don't have a ticket, you can watch the game on the many TV's inside here. '55 Restaurant' in Stamford Bridges resident hotel offers a more upscale dining experience.Of course there are plenty of refreshments in the stadiums concourses. The kiosks sell everything from your standard pie and a pint, to curry's, steamed duck buns and a range of healthier products all under 500 calories. All these can be ordered on the handy CFC Express App, allowing you to pre-order your food, pay with card and receive great discounts.

There are hot and cold food available throughout the stadium as well as some lighter/healthier and gluten-free options as well such as; vegetable wraps, chicken noodles, pies, pasty, hot dog, cheeseburger, pizza or fries as well as beer and alcohol on the day. You should always take your ID and it is important to note that you can't bring in glass, cans or bottles to the stadium and they will be confiscated or you will be refused entry. They operate an alcohol token system where one token is £4.40 or five tokens for £20 which can be redeemed on the day only at the bars or express services for less queuing time.As well as the kiosks there are 3 restaurants available at Stamford Bridge including:Marco Restaurant – which is available during and post-match for drinks and dinner and is a traditional British steakhouse that provides match day options and year round food. It is important to note that on Matchday they usually provide a set menu.Frankie's Sports Bar & Diner – This particularly popular because it shows the home game for those who don't have tickets (so long as you've booked a table and ordering food and drink of course!). It opens at noon every day or 10am for early kick off and provides an American Diner feel.55 Restaurant – This is specifically for dining packages and the use of the Millennium & Copthorne Hotel which is also on site however if you can get a table you are welcome to book one. It opens two and a half hours prior to kick off time and provides a 3 course grill menu on match days. All of these options are highly desirable and require booking way (WAY) in advance so get in there quickly however it is the best option for those making a day of it.

We did the Museum hospitality package and it was sensational. Free food and grog for 3-4 hours, with a great variety of football and a English food available! With tickets included and ground and pitch tour before the game it was great value for around $300 Australian per ticket

You're looking at around £3.60 for a pint of beer, and £5 for a burger or wrap and £4.50 hotdog or pie! The beer is pretty expensive (since most English stadiums only supply terrible options) and the pie would probably fetch 50p in a bakery. However, you're treating yourself to a day out and it's to be expected! I'd recommend eating before the game (there's a nearby Sainsbury's and a bunch of pubs) and maybe sneaking a few snacks in with you, to tide you over.
