Gersten Pavilion

One LMU Drive Los Angeles, CA 90045

Nicknamed “Hank’s House”, Gersten Pavilion was built in 1981 and seats just over 4,100 people. LMU star Hank Gathers died during a basketball tournament in 1990. Gersten Pavilion is home of the Loyola Marymount University Lions and a part time practice home of the LA Lakers. Other sports events have also been held here. Be sure to check out the history associated with this venue when you attend a game. The legend and spirit of Hank Gathers can be felt throughout the entire facility as well as the college campus. In spite of the fact that it’s been 25 years since LMU has been in a NCAA Tournament, there is still strong support for the school and its team.
