Best Insider tip at Melbourne Park?

Get amongst the activities the Australian Open organisers put on during the two week tournament. There's interactive activities, beauty and pampering stands, wine and champagne tasting, and heaps of other stuff too.

Melbourne Park seating?

There are plenty of ticketing options for tennis fans attending the Australian Open. With each of the three major show courts, Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, and Hisense Arena, there is some reserved seating available. By far though, the most popular ticket is still a general ground pass which gets fans access to all of the courts apart from Rod Laver Arena, meaning they can plan their day around who is playing who. Fans can also hang around in the garden area for the evening session and watch the action on the big screens

Best restaurants near Melbourne Park?

There are a tonne of pop-up restaurants and food outlets within the confines of Melbourne Park during the Australian Open festival. Best thing to suggest here is wander and taste your way around throughout the day and night!

Best Bars near Melbourne Park?

For something a little different, Pony Fish Island bar is a pretty good place to grab a drink at anytime. The bar is located beneath the footbridge connecting Southbank and the CBD. Inside Melbourne Park during the Australian Open, there's only one place really, and that's the Heineken Bar!

Melbourne Park parking?

Event parking will cost you $30 if you park in the official Melbourne Park car parking. All in all, it's not bad value considering the close proximity to the Arena (it's right next door). The major downfall is the traffic getting out of the parking lot at the end of the event. If you are happy to put up with a bit of waiting, then this is a good option. You can sometimes be lucky enough to get a car park around the Botanical gardens or along the Yarra River, but they are harder to find.
