Target Field is a venue in or near Minneapolis that is most often used for Baseball
The Minnesota team store sells jerseys, baseballs, mini bats, t-shirts, hats, and other Twins gear. There are also unlicensed vendors selling these same things outside the stadium. There are a few smaller vendors inside that sell limited amounts of Twins gear.
O Donovan's Irish pub has a good selection of beers and has some good fish and chips platters. Ike's Food and Cocktails has good drink specials before and after the game and is open late. There is also another dozen places to eat and drink after a game as well.
The traffic to games can sometimes get backed up since some games start during rush hour. After the games there isn't too much traffic unless you are stuck in a garage where you come out and theres a stop light.
The Twins have done a great job of taking their artifacts from the Metrodome and bringing it to their new home. Something they do that is cool is name each gate after a Twins Hall of Fame player. There are also World Series and playoff flags, as well as retired numbers on display in left field. The flag pole is also the original pole used at the Metrodome.
The scalpers are out in full force during games against the Yankees and Red Sox among others. They are nice and don't mind cutting you a deal if you buy a group of tickets or have a hot girl to flirt with them.
There is plenty of parking ramps around the stadium that range from $8 to $15. Some ramps are attached to the amazing and practical sky-way system downtown, which means never having to step foot outside which is nice in the early spring and late fall.
The local crowd are very friendly and there are lots of families so their aren't too many swear words said or rowdy behavior. They love their Twins and during the summer this is the place to be.
Target Field is very safe and the surrounding area is also very safe. The fans are very friendly and nice as well as being laid back. There are also plenty of families walking around which tells you how safe it is.
There are lots of ponds, The Great Mall of America which is the biggest mall in the world and has an indoor amusement park inside. There is also ice skating rinks, outdoor parks, and rivers to go down on with rafts.
Pizza Luce is a place we like to go to get different pizza pies. There is also chick fil a which has quick good chicken if you are on a budget. They also have a few other restaurant chains like Chili's Cheesecake Factory, and TGIF as well as some more bar and grill type places.
Night games can get very cold. If you need to warm up and don't have a blacket or hand warmers, then go and find the hanging heat lamps around the concourses to keep warm during cold games.
Target Field has great food such as an Asian wok, Italian sausages and turkey, hamburgers, Cuban sandwiches, salads and nachos.
The stadium is located directly downtown and is on 1 Twins Way Street Minneapolis, MN 55403. There are multiple freeways that go directly into downtown and you can see the stadium on the right.
The stadium is absolutely beautiful and there isn't a bad seat in the place. I would suggest sitting on the first or third base line so you can see the buildings and scoreboard in the outfield. You can sit down close or sit up high and its a great view.
The Twins give out things honoring former players like Harmon Killebrew night, Kirby Puckett night, Jack Morris night and have corresponding bobble heads, t-shirts, and other Twins gear for different promotions.
