Stade de la Mosson seating?

There are 4 distinct stands in the Stade de la Mosson and each have their own feel to them. The stands behind the goals are where the rowdiest groups sit, with the away fans being placed in the North West corner of the ground – affectionally called the Montpellier Kop.The club decided to make things rather confusing and divided the stands up into different sections of seating – all with different prices. The 'Cevennes' section in the Tribune D'Honneur Stand (North) is a good place for a neutral fan with good sight lines and tickets costing around €25. Otherwise the prime seats will set you back around €60 – steep prices for a team whose glory days were in 2012.

Best Food and Drink at Stade de la Mosson?

The food and drink at the ground really isn't anything special with there just being a few piecemeal options available that you will find at any football ground in the country such as Hot Dogs and Burgers. My advice would be to either bring some food in yourself – or better yet, hold off eating until after the match and then pick a restaurant and enjoy some awesome local fare, restaurants often are open later in France than most other countries so it won't be hard to find something delicious.

What to expect from the Stade de la Mosson crowd?

Montpellier to has its own brand of ultras – The MSHC Ultras sit in the Etang De Thau section behind the goal and they make the sure the crowd are up for the challenge for 90 minutes and more. The fact that the away fans are situated opposite them does make for a nice give and take between the two sets of supporters that really does add to the occasion. Montpellier's best season was a while ago now in 2012 when Olivier Giroud fired them to the title – the last few seasons haven't been as glorious though and that has damped the atmosphere a little.

It doesn't sound like much, but beneath the beaming sun, there is a real party atmosphere before a game.If you want the familiar surroundings of a bar however, there is Brasserie de la Mosson – just off the Heidelberg Avenue. It is sparce inside and there is just one tap serving Kronenbourg – but there are a lot of regulars in here will football talk buzzing around.Otherwise The Shakespeare and The Vert Anglais are both British themed pubs that attract a large expat crowd and have good happy hours to take advantage of!
