Montpellier to has its own brand of ultras – The MSHC Ultras sit in the Etang De Thau section behind the goal and they make the sure the crowd are up for the challenge for 90 minutes and more. The fact that the away fans are situated opposite them does make for a nice give and take between the two sets of supporters that really does add to the occasion. Montpellier's best season was a while ago now in 2012 when Olivier Giroud fired them to the title – the last few seasons haven't been as glorious though and that has damped the atmosphere a little.

Crowd here is an average one. They are not super excited and not boring either. You will feel safe and welcomed here and so will your family and friends. If you really like to sing and cheer for the team, you should get a sit in Etang de Thau and Corbières tribunes where the fun begins. The only problem is that you cannot see as well in those seats as they are behind the goal and on the ground level.
