What to expect from the Allianz Arena crowd?

Allianz Arena is a venue in or near Munich that is most often used for Soccer

The atmosphere inside the Allianz, especially for Bayern Munich matches, is fantastic. The atmosphere is built up from the outside, with the stadium changing colors to reflect who is playing that day. The Südkurve Stand is also full of passionate supporters groups such as the Inferno Bavaria, Red Fanatic Munchen and Schickeria Munchen keep the atmosphere turned up throughout the game.

Bayern Munich fans are always said to be an opera audience who will only clap once the team scores a goal and don't cheer when the team is behind. I gotta say that this is untrue for most of the time. The Bayern Munich fans have definitely stepped up in the recent years and always account for great atmosphere. There's always a huge amount of fans even traveling to the away games where you will sometimes only hear these very supporters. My favorite chant: When the north and south stands take turns in shouting "BAYERN! BAYERN!”. Gooesbumps! Make sure you're wearing anything red to support the home team.

For Bayern games, you can expect a raucous atmosphere befitting one of the most successful and best-supported club in the whole world. While the rest of Germany might deride them as FC Hollywood, a corporate machine, the fans are as loud and passionate as any. Schickeria are the ultras group of FC Bayern and you'll find them in the Südkurve. For 1860, the crowd is no less committed, though there are less of them. They call the Nordkurve home and give it their all too, though sometimes the singing is lost into the vast arena.
