No, it is not acceptable to deal with scalpers the Barclays Center. There have been a number of arrests made recently for fraudulent ticket scams. I suggest paying a little more and having the peace of mind that you are getting an actual ticket.

Barclays Center is centrally located to one of New York City's biggest subway train transit hubs, the Atlantic Terminal, also known as Barclays Terminal. Public transportation to the Barclays Center is accessible via the following lines: The Long Island Railroad and B, D, M, N, Q, R 2,3,5 subway lines. I would avoid the upper deck behind the basket and goal because this is the farthest away. Other than that, all the seats are pretty decent, especially once you get closer to the action which is worth spending the extra bucks on.

Best restaurants near Barclays Center?

I used to live down the street from the Barclays Center and let me tell you there's all kinds of great food options in the area. Barclays sits on the end of Park Slope's 5th Avenue and 5th Ave has everything you can poke a stick at. The closest place though is Shake Shack, literally across the road from Barclays on Flatbush Ave there's Shake Shack for quick delicious freshly made burgers. Back to 5th Ave there's Donut deli's - Area Bagels is my favorite for local NY style lox and creamcheese. Next there's a number of low priced 'hole-in-the-wall' Chinese takeaways. Lot's of Mexican restaurants, Thai, Japanese, even Indian. Keep venturing up 5th Ave and you'll find an abundance of choice.

Best bars near Barclays Center?

Prospect Park's upscale subway-tiled cocktail bar is just as suited for date night as for a small group pre- or post-game. The space is intimate, but bustling. The front is more suited for two, while the back has room for groups. Cocktails are stellar here, and the menu mixes up classics, inventive concoctions and a rotating "bartender's choice” for about $12 a pop. Wolf & Deer is just a few blocks down Park Slope's bustling Fifth Ave from Barclays. The small spot features a striking U-shaped bar, 70+ wines and a solid happy hour. Weekdays from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., you'll fine $6 select wines by the glass, $4 draft beers and $8 cocktails. While Wolf & Deer's food menu is limited, the cheese and charcuterie plates are thoughtfully curated. German bierhalle Die Koelner is just steps from the Barclays Center. And with colossal communal tables in a cavernous former warehouse, Die Koelner has room for you regardless of your group's size. Stop in for a pint, liter or boot of German beer – all listed on the menu with helpful descriptive comments. Try the popular Bayreuther Landbier Dunkel Lager, a malty Munich Dunkel Lager with a caramel finish.

The safety at the Barclays Center is top notch. There are security guards, cops, and other undercover personnel who don't let anything get out of control. It is safe to walk around after the games and take a drink or get a bite to eat.

Artifacts to look for at Barclays Center?

This stadium is pretty new and since neither of the Nets have had much success throughout their history, there isn't much on the artifacts to look for. There are banners from the conference titles they have won in the past and pictures throughout the stadium but that is about it.

The TEAM Store offers the largest selection of officially licensed merchandise featuring Brooklyn Nets gear.

Best giveaways at Barclays Center?

There's some great T-shirts, mini basketballs, hats, posters, trading cards, socks, and bobbleheads you can get your hands on during the course of the season.

What to expect from the Barclays Center crowd?

The crowds here are a little more subdued than those of the Knicks and Rangers. I think that the teams haven't been as good so there isn't that expectation that they should win. The crowds also get a lot of people who are there for the experience and social scene rather than the game itself.

Barclays Center parking?

There are garages throughout Brooklyn that charge anywhere from $25-$55 depending on how far you want to walk. I suggest asking them to have the car parked up front for an early exit. If you tip them $15-$20 they will do this and it will so be worth the money not to be sitting in traffic for an hour.

Best food and drink at Barclays Center?

Barclays Center has capitalized on Brooklyn's foodie revolution, so you can eat better here than in most mega-arenas. Or at home! Choose among Brooklyn favorites such as pizza and cheesecake, or try "New Brooklyn" tastes including gourmet hot dogs, lobster rolls and BBQ pork which all run from $8-$15 dollars. My favorite is Brooklyn Bangers & Dogs: Sausages and hot dogs from Saul Bolton, the Michelin-starred chef behind Saul and Red Gravy. Make sure to order the white cheddar bratwurst, which has an unexpected, peppery kick. Habana Outpost: A stand from the people behind Cafe Habana, offering sandwiches and corn on the cob. The gooey, pulled pork-stuffed Cubano might be the best sandwich at Barclays Center.

This is one for the dreamers...sleek and dark, metallic and brash, the Vault is a private club fitting of its price tag: $600,000 for a private suite that comes with eight floor seats. Gold metal curtains shimmer in the light. Moroccan-style chandeliers give off light and shadows in the 13 private suites, which each possess their own bar.
