Traffic around PNC Park?

PNC Park is a venue in or near Pittsburgh that is most often used for Baseball

As with any event in Pittsburgh, traffic can be a nightmare. It's best to park downtown or in a garage otherwise trying to get close to the stadium is going to be a nightmare and a half.

Game day traffic can be difficult, but there is at least one back way into the stadium that few travel. If you go out 279 north towards McKnight Road and then get off at Hazelette Street and then go towards the big hill that looks like a dead end to know where you can find your self on Perry Highway, and then you can make your way down Federal Street and beat it all. I've done it many times. The problem is when you get to the top of the hill it looks like a dead end, bit it isn't, trust me. You will be behind PNC park in minutes.

Traffic in Pittsburg can be the stuff of nightmares! The roads are not nearly equipped to deal with the in & out flow that occurs during the regular evening rush, let alone when a game is involved. Best advice I can offer is to try and get in and parked before rush hour then take advantage of the nearby Pubs.
