Hoffenheim are one of the many teams that operate a cashless system inside the stadium. If you want to buy any drinks or refreshments, you will have to obtain a cashless card from the ticket box or stands around the stadium – before topping it up with at least €10. Although this is a pain, it does reduce queues at the kiosks with no one fumbling around with loose change! You can of course refund the money on the card at several machines around the stadium.

Never forget that you will be traveling to the smallest town of all the Bundesliga teams. Hoffenheim itself only has a population of 3,500 people which almost sounds like a joke. They profited from the investor Dietmar Hopp and Manager Ralf Ragnick who managed to establish a very good and young team a couple of years ago and achieved what nobody had expected: They marched through five league within six years to finally play in Germany's best football league – the Bundesliga.

The Hoffenheim ultras were only founded back in 2007, the most recent in the history of the Bundesliga, but that doesn't stop them from giving their all. They've shown a decent sense of humour too: probably the most famous thing that they have ever done was to greet the other manufactured German club, RB Leipzig, with a raft of banners thanking them for taking over the mantle of the most hated team in the land.
