VfB Stuttgart had only been relegated once in their entire club history. After they had been able to get up again very quickly for the first time, they also want to achieve the same goal this year. End of May will tell if the very young team can do it. They are already thinking about a big party once they achieved their goal. One player already announced he was willing to go there “butt naked”. You shouldn’t miss this great event if it should really take place. As usually, it would be held in the city center right next to the town hall!

Payment for food and drinks at the stadium is by a cashless smartcard. You can get these on the day from around the ground and at the club’s shop. You have to put a minimum amount of €10 onto the card to begin with. Don’t feel like you have to spend it all though, any remaining credit can be refunded from any sales point after the match.

The city centre of Stuttgart isn’t a million miles away, and while the train is the obvious choice for those travelling to the stadium, walking is certainly an option if the weather allows it. You can take in views of the Neckar river and Germany allows public drinking basically everywhere, so grab a beer and take a leisurely stroll out to the match. Doubtless you won’t be the only one.
