Estadio de la Ceramica is a venue in or near Villarreal that is most often used for Soccer

Best Food and Drink at Estadio de la Ceramica?

There is a big and elegant restaurant called Entrelíneas but I think is too expensive and only available for celebrations and events. Then it's better if you go somewhere outside. My recommendation is Mesón Los Maños which is just in front of the stadium. I like its spanish decoration and it's also a perfect place to try spanish ham with a glass of red wine. Awesome!

What to expect from the Estadio de la Ceramica crowd?

At full capacity, the fans number just under half the population of the city, so it's safe to say that they are a passionate group. Frankly, the level of local support for this team is insane! They love the boys in yellow, and you'll not usually notice a single lapse in the fans' singing, chanting and jeering (things have to go wrong sometimes..) throughout the game. For all their fierce competitiveness, the Villareal fans are really nice and should be quite welcoming if you find yourselves side-by-side in the pub before or after a match.

How do I get to Estadio de la Ceramica?

Depending where you come from, driving may be the best option. The stadium is very easy to get to, however parking may be another beast entirely! There's no official stadium parking on offer (to anyone!) but there's a decent amount of roadside parking and some residential areas nearby - do your research and see if you can find a suitable area! Thanks to the city's remarkably small size, you can just walk to the stadium in 20 minutes from the train station. This is what the majority of travelling fans will opt to do, so you won't be short of company.

Estadio de la Ceramica seating?

El Estadia de la Ceramica is certainly one of the more unusual venues on the continent. A swathe of orange and blue seats with yellow walkways terrorise your eyes at first sight, but the views afforded to most fans are pretty good! If you're stuck up high right in the corner of the stadium, your view won't be one of the best. However, you get a great birds-eye of the match and probably a cheaper ticket, so can't complain! The common price range can be anywhere from €40-€70, but you can expect to pay a premium for the likes of Real and Barca!

Best Bars around Estadio de la Ceramica?

Since Villareal is - by all accounts - a pretty small town, you can more or less just wander around and see what takes your fancy. For all it lacks in size, it makes up for in the number of bars! If you're a travelling Villareal fan who is finally making their first trip to the heart of it all, then you should try to check out the Casal del Futbal, the local Villareal Supporters Bar. You should get admitted by showing your ticket and can then hang out with some of the family!

Best restaurants near Estadio de la Ceramica?

The closest place to the venue is, quite happily, a highly rated local joint called "Restaurant Ca Alex" - it serves pretty standard food, but cooked well, in decent portions and at a good price. On the opposite side of the stadium is American Burger Castillón, which sells all the fatty American classics which many Spaniards deplore! Let's be honest though, everyone loves a big burger with bacon and fries on a matchday. Want to know something even better? They sell beer, too!

Best Insider tip at Estadio de la Ceramica?

The club is incredibly loyal to its fans, and goes the extra mile by offering a tour of the entire venue for only a few euros. The tour lasts a decent length of time and is given by knowledgeable, confident guides who seriously know their stuff when it comes to both the club and the stadium's history. Not sure if it's available in English. Check out the tunnel, the empty, quiet pitches and the changing rooms as you get to know the club. You may want to don some protective eyewear - you're about to bathe in a sea of bright yellow!

Things to check out around Estadio de la Ceramica?

One really cool non-football option is the Mercado Central, which is a fun experience even if you don't buy anything. There's a vast assortment of meat, fish and other fresh produce on sale, and an even more vast array of tactics from the vendors trying to reel you in! Alternatively (or as well) you could take a wander over to the old town and the Plaza Mayor. It's just a really attractive and relaxing part of the town, where you can get a better feel for its long history.
