Werder Bremen are no different when it comes to buying food and drink in the concourses. The Girogo-Werder-Card is available around the ground at you can top it up in €10, €25, €50, €100 and €150 denominations. Don't worry though – you can get whatever balance is left on your card back at the end of the day.

The Weserstadion is the only stadium in Germany which is accessible via ferry boat. A very cool thing to do, especially for one-time visitors is to end your city tour with a great cruise and an exciting football match. Also, you circle around the big crowds going to the match by car or by tram. Tickets for the boat ride are 8,50€ (one-way) or 12,50€ (both ways), children pay half the price. The according wharves where you can get on are called "Farge”, "Blumenthal”, "Vegesack”, "Pier 2 / Waterfront” and "Martinianleger”.

German clubs love a team anthem and Werder have one of the best around. Before every game expect to hear the whole stadium sing "Lebenslang Grün-Weiß”, "Life long green and white” and if you can learn the words then you'll fit right in.
