Werder Bremen offers fervent fans the opportunity to walk in their favourite player's footsteps and embark on an hour and a half tour of the stadium. Although the tours can't take place on a gameday, they do operate the day before and the ticket gets you into the club's museum. Fans can see the press areas as well as the more interesting changing rooms, a walk down the tunnel to pitch side and see the dugout! Tickets are a bargain at €5.

If already finding yourself at the stadium it is worth visiting the so-called Wuseum, a museum about the club's history and the establishment of the stadium. A lot of interesting facts are told and the interactive area could be fun for your kids. If you have any time before the match, discover the city center and visit Bremen's most visited and famous sight, the 'Bremer Stadtmusikanten'. Every German child knows about the story including the four animals as it is one of the most popular fairytales here in Germany. Worth a visit!

Bremen is a beautiful city and one that certainly merits a visit. For football fans, the best of the city is right by the stadium: the river and the parks that run alongside it lead straight from the centre of town to the Weserstadion and fill up with fans before and after every match.
