How do I get to Principality Stadium?

There's no avoiding it really: drivers will have to hang around a while. Parking at/near the venue is only possible if you arrive hours before the match, so it's probably the Park & Ride for you. It costs £10 (signposted off junction 33 of the M4) but it will get you there. The wait afterwards can be torturously slow however, as cars dribble out the car park.Much better to get the train. Cardiff Central Railway Station is right in the middle of town, and so only a few minutes' walk away.

The atmosphere at a Wales rugby game is next level. The acoustics in the stadium (whether the roof is on or off) are sensational, with noise carrying easily in every direction. There is a lot of singing, jumping, cheering and wild screaming at the big moments. You can almost feed off the energy of the crowd, and immerse yourself in the game. Given the quality of rugby is usually superb, the crowd is always up for it. If you're in the away end, then you'd better hope your squad are ready to help the team out too!

Incredibly, this 73,000-seater behemoth is located right in the centre of Cardiff. You know what that means – loads of choice for watering holes! Supposedly there are 70 bars/restaurants within a quarter-mile of the stadium which can cater to 60,000 people. That said, they will be very busy. If you want to avoid queues and maybe grab a seat somewhere, then take the hit and walk 10-15 minutes from the stadium. Otherwise, you have virtually unlimited choice. Rugby fans are usually a very pleasant lot, so no need to worry about "away” vs "home” pubs.

In a word: great.In a few more words, the seating is really great. There's ample legroom, so tall rugby lads can actually fit comfortably inside, and the spacing between rows is excellent, affording everyone a great view. One mild setback is that the upper tier overhangs the lower tier somewhat, so sitting right at the back leaves you feeling kinda secluded. However, everywhere else it's just comfy seats and views out of the top drawer.
