Principality Stadium is a venue in or near Cardiff that is most often used for Rugby Union
Incredibly, this 73,000-seater behemoth is located right in the centre of Cardiff. You know what that means – loads of choice for watering holes! Supposedly there are 70 bars/restaurants within a quarter-mile of the stadium which can cater to 60,000 people. That said, they will be very busy. If you want to avoid queues and maybe grab a seat somewhere, then take the hit and walk 10-15 minutes from the stadium. Otherwise, you have virtually unlimited choice. Rugby fans are usually a very pleasant lot, so no need to worry about "away” vs "home” pubs.
There are a tonne of pubs and bars in Cardiff City Centre, so the trouble is more picking a place to have a drink rather than finding one – a welcome problem!Westgate Street runs parallel to the Principality and the River Taff, and is full of welcoming pubs. Some favourites include The Queens Vaults, JW Bassett Pub, O'Neills Irish Bar, and The Gatekeeper. However if you are into real ales and home brewed beers then get to BrewDog or Zerodegrees Microbrewery!
