FC Koln are one of the many teams that operate a cashless system inside the stadium. If you want to buy any drinks or refreshments, you will have to obtain a cashless card from the ticket box or stands around the stadium – before topping it up with at least €10. Although this is a pain, it does reduce queues at the kiosks with no one fumbling around with loose change! You can of course refund the money on the card at several machines around the stadium.

The stadium has been modernized countless times and is, up to this day, one of Germany's most modern stadiums. This is why you can spend hours inside the venue without noticing. There are numerous bars, food stands, museums, fan-shops and even a restaurant as well as a kid's playground. You also have the opportunity to take your kids to the child care inside the stadium, watch the game and get them again after the event. Friendly and educated women will be happy to help you with that. The stadium's mascot is a living goat called Henning who is brought on the pitch before every game. Don't be late for that humorous and very traditional happening!
