Motor City Brewing Works is a good all american grill that has steaks, chicken, and burgers. NIkki's pizza is a good little local joint that has some tasty pies. There is also Greektown pretty close by that has tremendous gyros.

Hockeytown Cafe is a great little place for salads and sandwiches and is more hockey focused but the food is good. There are also Traffic Jam and Snug and a couple Greek gyro places. They also have a few good local Chinese places in Chinatown.

Mario's Ristorante is half a block from Traffic Jam and Motor City but much better food. They have secure valet parking and run 2 free buses to and from all major sports venues AND all major theatre venues. If you want to park and walk 5 blocks, try any restaurant on Monroe street. They're all good but Pegasus, Fishbones and The Old Shillelagh get our vote.
