Best Food and Drink at Victoria Park?

Ross County may have done some renovation work recently and even made themselves a household name in the Scottish Premiership, but their catering is the same as ever: pies, Bovril and not a whole lot else! For those who don't know, Bovril is a sort-of salted, hot, meaty drink that is served at Scottish football since time immemorial. Since Scotland is usually freezing cold, both do a good job of heating you up. There are also hot dogs, burgers and sausage rolls if you're feeling less traditional!

How do I get to Victoria Park?

As long as you arrive in good time, you should have no hassle getting a parking spot at the venue. The car park is a great size, and you are only a few minutes' walk from town if you wanted to get a nice meal in and a quick getaway after the game.Alternatively, just get the train into Dingwall itself and walk over. It's so close that you could probably give someone a piggy back there and still not be tired. If it's pouring rain, you can always grab a taxi as well.

Best restaurants near Victoria Park?

Sharing its name with the stadium itself (near enough), the Victoria Restaurant is a lovely eatery in the middle of Dingwall which serves British classics at their best. The menu has great variety, and they also do afternoon teas if you can manage to squeeze one in!For something more exotic, there is the Miss Ying Thai Food Shop and Dings: both do exquisite Asian food at a great price.

Victoria Park seating?

The pricing is (currently) pretty great at only around £20 a head! If you manage to back a game against a decent side (Celtic, Aberdeen and the like) then you're getting a real bargain. The seats themselves are comfortable enough and offer a decent (if not luxurious) amount of legroom. The average attendance is only half the stadium capacity, so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting the view you want.

What to expect from the Victoria Park crowd?

Probably the most positive feature of Ross County's game is the fans. The home crowd are brilliant! Friendly and always along hoping for an exciting game, and preferably another 3 points on the board if possible. There's good banter between sides, and many neutral fans have agreed that being sat among the home crowd has been great fun. There's a lot of singing from the Jail End, so even if the excitement dies down, there's still a bit of noise.

Best Bars around Victoria Park?

Victoria Park is just a stone's throw away from the centre of Dingwall town, so if you're looking to bag a few pre-game pints, then that's where you head for it! The Mallard is a favourite among fans as it has everything you need: big portions and tasty, cold beers. If you have a hankering for something just a little bit more upmarket, the Cottage Bar & Restaurant serves quality gourmet pub food at a reasonable price. Maybe keep the football jersey under your jumper during the meal.

Things to check out around Victoria Park?

While there isn't a huge amount going on in Dingwall, they do have one incredible natural heritage site: the Tollie Red Kites. The site is home to some of Scotland's most fantastic and graceful birds of prey, such as osprey and, of course, the red kites themselves.Since it's free to enter and there are regular feeding times for the birds, there's no reason not to go; even seeing the birds picking at their food is a sight you won't soon forget.
