I got to see one of the greatest receivers of our time. The Vikings won 37-24 against the Packers at Lambeau Field. This acrobatic performance against the Packers put Vikings rookie receiver Randy Moss on the map. Against the Packers then-No. 1-ranked defense, Moss couldn’t be stopped. His highlights included a 52-yard catch that he took away from cornerback Tyrone Williams for a touchdown; a 41-yarder over safety Darren Sharper that set up a touchdown; a 46-yarder that set up a field goal; and a 44-yarder over Williams for a touchdown. Legend has it that this game influenced Packers GM Ron Wolf to pick three defensive backs with his first three draft choices the next year.
