Best Insider tip at Audi Sportpark?

It is important to know that you can only use cash in the away section of the ground. If you want refreshments and you are sitting in the home sections, you will have to buy a Fancard from the club shops before the game. You can then top this up at the stadium and use this to get food and drinks.

Yes, there is of course food and drink for sale, but it is rather basic stuff that you will find in grounds all over the world. Sausages and Burgers take precedence as well as some good German Beer. What to expect from the Audi Sportpark crowd?

The atmosphere at the Audi Sportpark is a strange one – and the concept is unlike anything many countries have. The team was formed in 2004 with the merger of two other teams and is bankrolled by Audi. As such, the team has a slightly corporate feel, and a lack of tradition. This is reflected in the atmosphere at the ground, and more often than not, if you want a good atmosphere, it will have to be generated by the away team.
