How do I get to BayArena?

BayArena is a venue in or near Leverkusen that is most often used for Soccer

The BayArena isn't too far outside of the city, indeed, it is only a mile walk from the main Leverkusen Mitte Station and so you will be able to follow the stream of supporters to the stadium, and the journey should only take you 15 minutes. You can also take the bus to Bismarckstraße street, where the stadium is. Just hop on any one of 201, 233 and 255 services. There is free parking near the stadium at 'Kurtekotten' car park, however be sure to get there early though as the roads around the ground are closed around kick off.

Car: It is definitely not recommended directly going to the stadium by car. Firstly, there are only about 800 parking lots. Second, the club is trying to protect the residential area where the stadium is located in by setting up free parking opportunities a bit further away. Shuttle buses will bring you directly from these parking lots to the stadium and back after every match. They start operating 2 hours before the match and end their work 2 hours after. Simply head for "Kurtkotten”, the easiest parking solution if visiting a game. Metro: You can either simply get to "Leverkusen-Mitte” and walk from there to the stadium, this will take you about 15 minutes, by far my favorite option. If you want to taken right in front of the stadium you can either take the bus lines 207 and 222 and get off at "BayArena” or you take the so-called "Löwenlinie” which exclusively operates on match days. The train commutes between "Leverkusen-Opladen” and the stadium. Holding a valid ticket for the match means you can ride for free on any given mean of public transportation.

Leverkusen is essentially an overgrown suburb of Cologne, so if you're heading up from the city then you need to take the S-Bahn to Leverkusen Mitte station, from which you can quite easily walk the remaining 20 minutes or so to the BayArena. Similarly, those on mainline rail will arrive at Leverkusen Manfort Schlebusch station, which is again 20 minutes away, though from the other direction. They're you best bets, though ample parking and easy access from the A3 autobahn is also available.
