As a London stadium, public transport links are fairly frequent and if you are coming from inside London you simply need to get a train to Putney Bridge which is direct from either Victoria or Paddington Railway station for a 19 minute journey. From there it is a 10-20 minute walk from the station to the stadium. Alternatively if you don't mind a longer walk (of around 20-35 minutes) you can get the tube to Hammersmith by getting on the Circle line or Hammersmith & City line. If you are travelling in and around London for the day it is worth getting a travel card which will allow you full access to the under and over-ground train/tube services which will be around £12-£15.Getting the train into London for those travelling regionally will require you to get to London Victoria or London Bridge Railway stations and take the underground from there to eventually end in Putney.Alternatively, for those who would prefer the bus you can catch the 220 bus from Hammersmith which takes you a couple of minutes' walk away from the stadium. Taxis are also available on the day (although it is cheaper to pre-book or share with others) and cost will vary depending on how far out you are travelling from.

Craven Cottage is located in London's affluent area of Fulham. Whilst mainly a residential area, there are still many ways to get to the stadium. The London underground is the easiest and most convenient way of getting there, especially on a game day. Putney Bridge Station, on the district line is relatively close, around a 10 minute walk. Hammersmith Station is more popular because it is serviced by the District, Circle, Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City lines; however the walk from here will take you around 20 minutes. Both underground stations are in Zone 2 and so a one way ticket from Zone 1 will cost you £4.90. A better option, especially if you are doing more travelling in the day would be to buy a day ticket for £12.10

The easiest route from London would be the train into Putney Station: accessible from all over the city and only 15 minutes' walk from the Cottage. If you're flying to Heathrow and straight to the game, use the underground services and navigate to Putney.If you're feeling lavish, any private taxi company will be willing to drop you off, just make sure to book your journey in advance as it gets crazy busy (of course) and you'll probably get stuck if you leave it to the last minute!
