Best Pubs around Emirates Stadium?

1 answer

There are a great deal of pubs to choose from near the Emirates stadium so Arsenal fans or the away team are spoilt for choice!

A regular for the home Arsenal Team is “The Twelve Pins” for a pre-match drink, this is because it is right outside Finsbury Park Station which is a regular train station to get to the stadium. This big and busy pub is also a favorite for those to watch the match who couldn’t get tickets because they have two large screens showing the games. An excellent meeting place and only a 15 minute walk from the stadium, this is a clear favorite, especially for larger groups because this is a much larger venue and has a noticeable buzz from the home crowd on match day!

If you are looking for a closer pub then “The Tollington could be for you as it is only 6 minutes away from the stadium on Hornsey Road. Another bonus to this pub is that it also sells Thai food which appeal to some pre or post-match. Many Arsenal fans eat and drink here before a match and with a friendly atmosphere and staff it is great for the visiting supporters as well.

Close to the Emirates is the traditional away fans pub, The Drayton Park, conveniently located near Arsenal tube station and Drayton railway station. Such an established pub for away fans can get rather busy on match days and as such, many fans can be found in the nearby Courage Pub which overlooks the stadium. This too can get full quickly, with pub goers spilling out onto the street, adding to the match day atmosphere.

If these two pubs are too busy for your liking, try the nearby Twelve Pins near Finsbury Park station, or its opposite number the Blackstock, with both of these pubs welcoming both home and away fans.

Arsenal centered pubs the Tollington and The Gunners, both within a 10 minute walk of the ground are full of Arsenal supporter of match day, as well as a wealth of Arsenal memorabilia.

For any away fans, there’s no excuse for not visiting the Drayton Park. Looking onto the shiny new stadium and only a few minutes’ walk away, it’s a solid choice. It will be rammed on matchday however, so consider the Twelve Pins or the Blackstock (which happen to face each other) since both welcome away fans, and you should get a space inside.
