London Stadium and the area around it is constantly evolving, and turning into something really special; West Ham’s new home. Fans should ensure to set off on their journey to the ground in good time as the stations have been known to get very busy. Food and drink inside the stadium is fantastic, especially compared to other grounds, so be sure to make the most of the ‘Hammer Happy Hour’ – in the first hour after the gates open. Remember to have your singing voice and to bring some bubbles to take part in the anthem ‘I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles’ that marks the start of every West Ham game!
If you sign up to “The Cow” on their website they are currently offering a free drink voucher when you pop in (Terms and conditions apply and are on their website).
Also, if you can’t get tickets due to the high demand, you can watch the matches in the local pubs on the large TV screens with many other supporters for a different atmosphere, excitement and feel!
While it’s still young, there’s already a phenomenal history about London Stadium, as it’s smack in the middle of the Olympic Park! Get there early and spend the day exploring the sights and scenes from London 2012. There are stadiums, tours, fun attractions and memorabilia all around; more than enough to satisfy a pre-match wanderlust!
