What to expect from the London Stadium crowd?

London Stadium is a venue in or near London that is most often used for Soccer

Since West Ham's move to the London Stadium at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, there have been mixed opinions about the atmosphere in the stadium itself. As it is an old athletics stadium, used for the London Olympics, there is a large running track that separates the seats from the pitch itself, that can creates a distance. Like other larger stadiums, unless it sells out its 60,000 capacity, it can seem a little lacking. If you are looking for an atmosphere filled with chants and songs, the best area to sit would be behind the goals in the Trevor Brooking Stand and the Bobby Moore Stand. The Trevor Brooking Stand houses home and away fans, and such the atmosphere here is usually intense. The West Ham faithful have kept the clubs tradition of singing 'I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles' alive and well and always accompany the song by making bubbles themselves, creating a great spectacle!

With fantastic facilities and plenty of food and drink the atmosphere at London for many of the events (not just sporting) it's electric and this is in part due to the remnants of the Olympics and the reason it was built in the first place. While there have been very few reports inside the stadium, away supporters should be a little wary of scuffles outside the venue as security is still fairly new at this modern stadium. Local rivals, Chelsea, Millwall and Tottenham are not favored and visiting fans supporters should avoid these colors and kit (it may also stop you getting into local pubs or bars). That being said, supporters should not feel like they are in any danger and it is generally a welcoming crowd (although not really suitable for small children). If you want to get involved in chanting the most famous song is "I'm forever blowing bubbles” and you may here is both inside and walking away from the venue from supporters, that goes like this:I'm forever blowing bubbles,Pretty bubbles in the air,They fly so high,They reach the sky, Then like my dream, they fade and die!Fortunes always hiding,I've looked every where,I'm forever blowing bubbles,Pretty bubbles in the air!United! (Clapping),United! (Clapping).

The crowd is big, and they want to enjoy the game. Trouble is, it's a brand-new stadium and everyone is adjusting to it. An interesting quirk with the Hammers fans is that they, for the most part, insist on standing. It's part of their culture, even though it's against the rules. Home and away fans are segregated, and given the size of the stadium, you need to make a lot of noise to get that old, passionate footie atmosphere.
