If you are looking for something cheap and cheerful there are plenty of kebab or takeaway shops from Selhurst Park back to the local train stations and further into town that you can get some food at. You can also opt to get traditional Fish and Chips served restaurant style at the aptly named “Doneagles Fish and Chip Restaurant which is less than a 10 minute walk from the stadium but it can get quite busy at turn out after match day.

If you are looking to make an evening of it you can opt for Thai food at “Mantanah Thai Cuisine” which is also less than 10 minutes away from the stadium, is reasonably priced and have friendly staff with great reviews. Blue & Orange is the other local restaurant close to the stadium and has a friendly atmosphere catering to many of the Selhurst fans with their large portion sizes, value for money and traditional pub food!

Alternatively if you make your way to the train stations and get off at East Croydon which is a short 10-15 minute train journey away you can enjoy a Nando’s or Wagamamas if you want something familiar, although you should definitely book on the weekends or a Friday as they get busy very early on.

The area around Selhurst Park is a mostly residential area, and as such places to eat are quite limited. However, there are plenty of takeaways and cafes that cater to fans as they make their way to the stadium. Emek kebab on Whitehorse Lane has garnered a reputation of having the best kebabs in the area, whilst Donegals Fish and Chip shop offers big portions and is always popular on game day. If you are after more of a sit down meal, the only real option in the area is ‘Blue and Orange’ on Thornton Heath High Street which serves a mixture of Mediterranean and traditional British food.

Being situated in a mostly residential area, there’s a short walk to get to the good eateries. Head into South Croydon’s “restaurant quarter” where you can feast your eyes (and taste buds) on delicious food, fresh drinks and sometimes live music! There’s Italian, Asian, British and pretty much every type of cuisine you could ask for! Check it out online as the website offers a bunch of special offers and deals.
