How do I get to Stamford Bridge?

Stamford Bridge is a venue in or near London that is most often used for Soccer

Stamford Bridge prides itself on being London's most centrally located football Stadium; and while that does carry a degree of prestige, it does make transport options limited. The easiest way is by London Underground, with the nearest station being 'Fulham Broadway', a 7 minute walk from Stamford Bridge. The best option would be to by a day ticket for £12.10, giving you a whole day of travel. 'There are 2 overground stations near the stadium as well, both 'West Brompton' and 'Imperial Wharf' being 15 minute walks away and are both on direct lines from Clapham Junction.Bus services 14, 211 and 414 also drop off outside Stamford Bridge making it very convenient! For those looking to take the scenic route, you can also catch a River Boat to 'Chelsea Harbour'; boats run regularly Monday to Friday.

It is relatively easy to get to Stamford Bridge because it is in central London with plenty of public transport links. That being said, attendees are advised against driving to the stadium (especially on matchdays) as there is resident only parking restrictions in place as well as a lot of traffic and congestion to and from the stadium. From London Center, the easiest and closest station is Fulham Broadway Tube Station which is an underground service on the District Line and a short journey and 5 minute walk to the stadium. Alternatively if you prefer the overground you can get a train to Imperial Wharf or West Brompton from Clapham Junction or Willesden Junction which are then around a 15 minute walk from the station.Taxis are available outside of the station to hail but pre-booking is cheaper, however, due to the congestion it can often be slower getting a taxi, especially on match or event days. If you prefer to take a bus there are several services that stop directly outside the stadium and these are the number 414, 211 or 14 bus. Another unusual mode of transport is by river boat if you are coming in or around London and these services run to Chelsea Harbour which is also a short walk to the stadium.Prices can vary greatly depending on where you are coming from but a travelcard for the day in and around London costs between £12 - £19 and covers the over and underground.

We took the easy option and cabbed it from Mayfair. Was under 20 pound and they dropped us right off at the front gate.Getting home was a nightmare, but we grabbed a cab from the local Holiday Inn and that saw us home.Easy option if you don't like PT!

The nearest tube station is Fulham Broadway on the District Line. From the city centre, take the underground to Earls Court and then transfer to get to Fulham Broadway. You can also get the train to West Brompton (the underground is stressful – I get that!) which is fed right from the middle of the city, at Waterloo and Victoria. That leaves a 15-minute walk at the other side! You can also drive, but trust me, parking will be a nightmare and you'll have quite a walk at the other side!
