How do I get to OPEL ARENA?

OPEL ARENA is a venue in or near Mainz that is most often used for Soccer

The Opel Arena is found about 3km outside of Mainz itself in a fairly rural area – as such, the public transportation options to get here are fairly limited – for example, the tram system doesn't reach out there.Instead the best way of heading there is via the shuttle buses that pick up from and drop off at the central train station! Public buses 68 and 69 will get you close, just make sure you get off at stops Ackermannweg and Fachhochschule respectively. There is car parking at the stadium and match days will cost no more than €3.50 for a spot!

Car: Best way to get there is to park at the Park + Ride parking lot "Mainz Messe”. Simply follow the P+R signs once you're in the city or the signs guiding you towards the "Messe” area. From there, shuttle buses operate frequently from two hours before until two hours after the match. Parking and the shuttle buses are for free if you're holding a valid football ticket. Metro: The operating tram lines 51, 53 and 75 will all get you to the stadium right away. Get off at either one of the stations "Hochschule Mainz”, "Plaza” or "Stadion 05”. Bus: The line you want to get on is the number 650, get off at the stations mentioned above. There are also shuttle buses operating on match days which start at Central Station and bring you right in front of the arena.

This is one of the trickier grounds to reach in Germany by public transport, but everything is relative. It's still very simple. The difference here is that the Opel Arena doesn't have a train station nearby, so you'll need to take the 54, 55 or 58 bus from the main Mainz station to the ground. Alternatively, there's a shuttle bus on matchdays that goes right to the stadium.
