Best Bars near Flemington Racecourse?

The Victoria Racing Club's Flemington Racecourse is the most famous race course in Australia and has had race meetings run each year since 1840. It is the home of the "race that stops the nation", the Melbourne Cup, as well as a range of other high-profile Horse Racing events throughout the year. It is a flat, outdoor track used for races between 1000 and 3200 metres. Flemington Racecourse is located in Flemington, about 7km from the city centre of Melbourne.

With most of the activities taking place inside the racecourse, most punters wanting to kick on afterwards end up in the city. If you've had a good day on the punt, head into the city by train and make your way to Left Bank located on the Yarra River in the Southbank precinct. You won't be out of place in your race wear and it's a great place to un-wind after a big day. If you get a second wind, you can always wander down to Crown to double your money too!
