There are no shortage of restaurants around the Bridgestone Arena. Places like The Tazza Restaurant, Ichiban, The Southern and Rock Bottom are within walking distance of the arena. I have been there twice, myself. I can honestly say to you that I had no trouble getting into the arena. I certainly had no issues while in the arena. The checkpoints leading to the entrance were done tastefully and in order. There were absolutely no sign of threats, whatsoever - anywhere in the arena.
What to expect from the Bridgestone Arena crowd?
If it is a Predators game ... expect a loud and energetic one with a sea of yellow ... lol But the crowds, there, are respectful of others, passionate about who they support and are there - just like you - to only have a good time. Every person I know who has attended an event at Bridgestone (especially a Predators game), has walked away with an experience of bonding with someone they didn't know the night before. Great crowd!

There are many restaurants in the arena (Tavern '96, Redline Grill, Club Tropicana) to serve the needs of a Bridgestone Arena patron. The big store that serves every need of a Nashville Predator supporter is the Nashville Predator Fanzone. Otherwise, I would suggest you find parking spaces a little ways away from the arena. Prepare to walk because the arena is situated to where it was designed to have others stroll downtown toward Bridgestone. That is your best bet.

To me, the most interesting part about the arena (on the inside of it) is that there are no club seating at one end of the arena. The club seating is in the configuration of a horseshoe. Of course, the end of the arena where no club seating is offered is the stage end of Bridgestone when configured into a concert. Otherwise, the views from all the seats, there, are wonderful. no obstructions, anywhere.

Plus, what also helps is that many attendees of Bridgestone - especially during hockey season - will walk to the arena (provided the weather permits, of course) and park elsewhere - helping to alleviate the congestion of Broadway.

If you are about culture, then the Frist Center is the place for you - boasting one of the finest museums in the country. If bars are what you want - then Tootsie's Lounge, Coyote Ugly and the Charlie Daniels Museum (among many others) would satisfy you. If restaurants are what you want - then places like the House of Blues, Joe's Crab Shack, Rodizio Grill and BB King's (again, among many others) would quell your appetite. Many of these bars have live and entertainment - and you can hear them walking down Broadway - along with walking out of Bridgestone Arena.
