Things to check out around Stadion Nurnberg?

Stadion Nurnberg is a venue in Nuremberg

If you are an ardent fan of FC Nuremburg, then you should stay at the stadium itself and peek behind the scenes! Fans go on a very specific, guided tour, going to places that the public don't see – the press areas, the changing rooms and the run down to the pitch! Seeing the stadium though a player's eyes! All this for just €5 – you can't miss out on this!Otherwise, you are in Nuremburg – a place that would fit perfectly into a fairytale! Get yourself and your camera up to the castle and the Aldstadt and just take it all in!

One sight to visit that is close to the venue is the old "Reichsparteigelände” from World War 2. If you're somewhat interested in history, you should definitely check out that impressive – and back then super important – historical political building. It is also beautifully located within a big park area, a place to relax and enjoy the sun before a match. In case you have any more time before a match, you should still check out the old town including its numerous historical and religious buildings. The ancient city center in Nuremberg is definitely something to see, go check it out if there's some free time left.

Nürnberg is known for the huge Nazi rallies and the subsequent Nuremberg Trials. Right next to the stadium is the location for those rallies, and while there isn't much to see - it was just a big field at it's height - there is a Documentation Centre on Bayernstrasse 110, where you can learn about the fascinating if horrifying history of the city.
