Domain Stadium Sports Fan Tips

Domain Stadium is a venue in Perth, WA

Domain Stadium parking?

Just like everything else around Subiaco on match day, parking too is at a premium. If you're not in a position to get the train, there are a few paid parking options around to stop you mindlessly driving around the streets, only to find a park that requires you to get a taxi to the game because you're so far away! Average paid parking cost is around the $15 mark.

Best Food and Drink at Domain Stadium?

Revamped food and drink options are now available to fans attending matches at Domain Stadium. There is a good offering of locally sourced meats and produce, as well as all of the old fast-food favorites.

Safety at Domain Stadium?

Like all major sporting events at large venues, expect to have your bag checked and possibly checked with a metal detector. Safe venue….unless you're a Collingwood supporter.

Domain Stadium seating?

Ideally for AFL matches, you want to sit on the wings (not behind the goals). These seats are at a premium at Domain Stadium however. Games are rarely anything less than full for the home and away season, so the atmosphere will be great wherever you sit.

What to expect from the Domain Stadium crowd?

Loud, loud, loud. Fans here are loud. Did I mention loud? Both Fremantle and West Coast fans are very parochial too. If you're an away supporter, expect a fair bit of 'banter' coming your way. Nothing to be afraid of, but the locals won't hold back either!

Things to check out around Domain Stadium?

Up until July 2015, there were local markets on the weekends where local farmers would come in and sell their produce. Unfortunately redevelopment has changed the market landscape significantly. Matches at Domain Stadium are still the #1 attraction for the area.

Best Bars near Domain Stadium?

Things get very very busy before matches at Domain, so best to pre-plan and get there early unless you like standing in lines. There is plenty around, but the The Vic wins my vote. It has a large, classic type sports bar, with heaps of big screens, and footy jumpers strung up around the bar during the footy season.

Directions to Domain Stadium?

One of the best things about sporting events in Perth is that ticket holders get free transport on Transperth networks on game day for 3 hours before and 3 hours after the event. West Leederville station is your stop. If in doubt, follow the hoards!

Best restaurants near Domain Stadium?

Heaps of good food and drink options nearby. Hard to pick one, so best to take a wander around to find something to your liking. Restaurants and bars fill up very quickly however, so make sure you get in early.

Best Insider tip at Domain Stadium?

Whilst Domain Stadium does play host to its fair share of international sport, with the Wallabies and Socceroos playing there in recent years, AFL reigns supreme when it comes to atmosphere, excitement, and passion from the locals. If you're a visiting supporter and you're team isn't playing, pick a team and go your hardest. It'll be an experience!

Stores to hit up at Domain Stadium?

The West Coast Eagles store is located at Domain Stadium and has pretty much every bit of merchandise available. If Eagles aren't your thing, other merchandise trucks can be found outside and inside the stadium.
