Ball Park Tours:

I am not a fan of ANY of the teams that reside in Pittsburg. In fact they are for the most part my biggest Rivals (Ravens/Steelers, Penguins/Flyers). But as with my trip to see the Phillies play, I like going to ball parks, especially when I don’t really have an interest in the outcome of the game and can just sit back and enjoy. PNC Park is a great place to watch a game. It lacks some of the charm that three rivers had, but makes up for it in other ways. So, when I was offered some club level tickets to see the Bucs play, I figured; Why Not. It is another park I can cross off my Ball Park Tours List. An added bonus is that it is only about a 2 hour drive from my Parents House in Western Maryland. So I drove to their house grabbed a buddy and headed 2 hours west.

The park is easy to get to and the directions took us right in. We got there early and avoided the traffic, used a parking pass, and then walked over to the Tilted Kilt (AWESOME). About an hour before first pitch we walked back over and checked out the statues in front. I never want to leave a part of baseball history unseen. Headed into the game and right to our seats. We grabbed and outstanding Steak Sandwich and beer from the PBC grill and sat down to watch. It was a good game, and since I had “No Dog in the Fight” I was able to jut kick back and enjoy. We left after the 7th Inning Stretch (Bucs were getting abused by the Cardinals), got to our car, got right out and headed to Primanti Bros. for a late night snack.

We had a good time, the fans were cool, and the stadium is very comfortable. It was also another park to check off my list.
