Best insider tip for Richmond International Raceway?

Tailgating is highly encouraged and is present everywhere you look around the outside of the facility. This is one venue where this is really popular and almost a "must" in getting the most out of your race day experience. Host a party or attend one. Even strangers and hard core fans are welcoming – the more the merrier! Another tip is as electrifying it is to stand along the fence to be closer to the action, while it's allowed, it's not recommended. There are safety reasons in case of a crash where you happen to be standing and also since it tends to block the view for other fans.
