Enterprise Center is a venue in or near St. Louis that is most often used for Hockey
The fans love their Blues. They love hockey and really make for a great atmosphere to watch a game. They have been spoiled with good players and teams as well as constantly being in the playoffs over the years. They like to give grief to Blackhawks' fans as well.
One of the best things to see before the game is the pre-skate. You can get down to the lower level along the glass no later anytime 50 minutes before game time and position yourself at section 117-119. You will have prime time position for the 18-minute warm up and be so close you can see the sweat dripping from the Blues' players.
The scalpers are fine to deal with at the arena. I would suggest dealing with ones that will go up to the entrance to make sure they aren't fraudulent.
The best bang for the buck is to sit about 20 rows up on the goal line. These seats allow you to still see the luck and a lot of action compared to sitting behind the net which usually limits you to one side of action.
Banners honoring the Division and Conference Championship hang in the stadium. Banners honoring the six retired numbers belong to #2 Al McInnis (1994-2004), #3 Bob Gassoff, #8 Barclay Plager, #11 Brian Sutter, #16 Brett Hull, and #24 Bernie Federko hang as well.
They have soft drinks and beer than range fro $5-$10 respectively. They also have hot dogs, jumbo dogs, pizza, and pretzels but nothing too fancy. You can get a good size meal from around $8-$10.
The Blues give away a lot of cool unique t-shirts, hockey pucks, mini hockey sticks, Brett Hull bobble heads, player cards, posters and a bunch of other stuff.
Scottrade is in downtown St. Louis, just a mile or so west of the famous Gateway Arch. There are multiple freeways that intersect the downtown stadium district and there are signs to the Scottrade center.
Maggie o'Briens is a good pub that a lot of fans go to afterwards. They have good appetizers but there are TV's and a good Irish feel inside.
Lombardo's is a local joint that has really good food for before the games. There are also a bunch of good rib places here with unique sauces. Pappy's is one of those places that has fall off the bone ribs that are at a reasonable price of around $20 with 2 sides.
Before entering the stadium at 14th and Brett Hull Way, be sure to visit the three statues outside Scottrade which honor Hall of Famers Bernie Federko, Al MacInnis and the great forward Brett Hull.
Parking lots can be found south and west of the arena. The further you go away from the stadium, the less you pay, but you can get a pretty good spot for $5-$10 and only have to walk about 5 minutes.
Safety at the games is fine and the crowd is very friendly. The stadium is in an okay part of town so I would make sure to walk with others after the game.
True Blues, is just to the left of the main entrance. I would check the rear of the store for close-outs on items from previous years and discontinued models. There are good values here as well as some high end items including autographed goalie masks from some of the Blues' greats. They have a lot of cool items you cannot get anywhere else.
The traffic isn't too bad because there are a bunch of freeways that can get you on your way. I suggest walking around 5 minutes to the stadium so you can get out a little faster.
