Things to check out around Bet365 Stadium?

The Britannia Stadium (I mean, err, the Bet365 Stadium) is a few miles outside of town, so you're going to have to travel somehow to find an interesting activity nearby. My recommendation is the Trentham Monkey Forest. It's a lovely conservationist area with wild monkeys which you can visit, see, learn about and even enjoy with a picnic if you like! It has seasonal opening times, but an afternoon with man's closest relative is an afternoon well spent.

How do I get to Bet365 Stadium?

Driving isn't the worst option as there's a good amount of parking nearby. There's a massive ScrewFix which allows 300 spaces to football fans (£4.50 per car) and is just a mile away and a Power League complex at £4.50 per car by the stadium. The stadium parking is okay, but extremely busy (45 mins wait) after the game. There's a train station (Stoke Station) which is 2 miles out, so an easy walk if you plan ahead. Otherwise there's a shuttle bus to/from Glebe Street which might suit you better, £3 return.

Best restaurants near Bet365 Stadium?

The top-rated restaurant near (ish) to the venue is Massala Junction, and it's no surprise. Their menu encompasses most of Asia and everything is fresh, beautifully fragrant and well-presented. They could definitely charge you more and still be every bit as busy. With helpful staff, cool interiors and a first-class TripAdvisor rating, I can't imagine why you'd go anywhere else. Seriously, it's the best.

Best Pubs around Bet365 Stadium?

For those travelling to the stadium by train (a fair number of you), there is an away fan's pub 5 minutes' walk away called the Terrace Bar. There's live sports, good drinks and a shuttle bus from the pub to the venue that only costs £3 – great deal! Perhaps more conveniently, there is a Harvester just next to the venue where you can park for a few quid and which permits away fans. Double trouble! Stoke city centre is dominated by home fans, so if you're one of the Potters, you'll be at home there.

Best Food and Drink at Bet365 Stadium?

I'm not even joking, there's a Premier League team who sells their stadium food at a reasonable price! Scandal. Seriously though, it's pretty decent fare: pies and pastries (around £3.10) and sausage rolls for £2.60. I think these are all the drinks on offer:Carlsberg pint - £4.20Bitter pint - £4500ml cider - £4.20Smirnoff ice - £4.20Wine - £4.30Not the worst selection you'll find at a football ground!

Bet365 Stadium seating?

The stands at the Bet365 Stadium are fairly steep, but fans aren't complaining as it keeps everyone closer to, and more involved in, the action. However, the wind penetrates the stadium pretty easily (it's at a fair altitude and there are free-standing stands letting the air through) so you'll need to wrap up warmer than you'd expect, no matter where you're sitting. The views are fairly consistently good, so you shouldn't have to worry too much about where you're placed.

What to expect from the Bet365 Stadium crowd?

The crowd are passionate and fiercely competitive. There is a bit of space between home and away fans, and things have been known to get a little out of hand, on occasion, throughout the years. You (and the rest of the away crowd) may even be held back after the game until the Stoke fans have all filtered out. However, that passion also makes for a great atmosphere. There's constant cheering, jeering, tears and laughter as fans ebb and flow with the game. You'll have a good time, just be sensible and keep colours hidden until you're inside.

Best Insider tip at Bet365 Stadium?

The Oatcake boat! A growing secret around Bet365 Stadium is the little barge parked just out the back of the stadium (behind the main stand) which sells fresh, home-baked Staffordshire oatcakes! It's a great way to experience local culture and take an edge off your hunger without buying pies and pastries. There's even a second boat selling beer to cap off your trip! Very cool thing to do if you're at the stadium, I highly recommend it.
