Best bars near Rogers Centre?

Rogers Centre is a venue in or near Toronto that is most often used for Baseball

With Rogers Centre being in the heart of the city of Toronto, there are no shortage of good bars to visit! This is what makes Toronto such an impressive sporting city, the experience before and after games! If you want an experience like no other, by far the best bar would be Real Sports Bar and Grill. Voted one of North Americas best sports bars, for any out of towner (or local for that matter) it is an experience like no other. As soon as you walk in you will get a glimpse of their 40 foot HD big screen, and it is always packed in there and you will always be guaranteed a great experience. Couple of tips for Real Sports though: 1. Pre-book if you want to go there before a game! 2. If you are on a tight budget, then this isn't the place to go! Few other really good bars to hit up with a great atmosphere: Definitely check out 'Loose Moose' if you want more of a local bar feel, the live televised dancefloor they show always provides good laughs. If you want a good Roof Top bar in Summer - then The Porch on Adelaide St and Wayne Gretzy's bar are always good options. Along John St is the place to go pre-game if you dont know exactly what you want though. With Hooters, Ballroom, Jack Astors and Boston Pizza all on John, you are bound to find something you like!

The beauty of Roger's Centre is that it is right DOWNTOWN T.O., which means there are plenty of options depending on what you are looking for. SPORTS BAR/PUBS: Proximity: - St Louis' Bar and Grill (313 Bremner Blvd) is literally 50 yards away from the Southern gates. This is often packed out with Blue Jays fans given the close proximity. It also has a patio. - Wayne Gretsky's (99 Blue Jays Way) is 100 yards North of the ticket gate with the highlight being a roof top Patio. - Boston Pizza (250 Front St W.) has fantastic food options. More of a restaurant feel than a bar. Can be a little hard to watch the TV's in this place. 'Must-do' once: Real Sports Bar (15 York St) is a must-do once. When it was opened, ESPN awarded it the best sports bar in North America! There is a MASSIVE screen as the centrepiece of the bar which is obviously really cool, plus there is over 199 other TV screens throughout the place AND TV's in the bathrooms. However, it is expensive, overcrowded and very corporate. Don't expect to find a table on the night of a game unless you have booked. It is only a 10 minute walk on the east side of the ball park, which is convenient but after you've been there once, you tend to look for a quieter, more laid back place. Franchise Bars: Jack Astors (73 Front St. E) is a safe bet and it has a fantastic patio. Shoeless Joes (276 King St W.) is great for cheap food and bar, plus they let you get away with anything in this place. It is at least a 15 minute walk to the ballpark. Best picks: Loose Moose (146 Front St W) for mine is hard to beat. It is a little bit of a walk from Rogers Centre (probably 15 minutes), however the wide range of beers, cool vibe and layout, plus good food is a good local bar. Steam Whistle Brewery: Literally across the road on the south side of the ball park, (255 Bremner Blvd), the brewery is popping after a weekend 1.07pm day game in summer. It has a great view of the ballpark adjacent to the CN tower on the patio, plus you get a free sample of the Brewery's own Steam Whistle on arrival at the bar. Special Events: - In the peak of summer, on Friday nights the Blue Jays Organization will setup an outdoor patio in the stadium concourse. These are great as they bring a bar, great atmosphere and when the game is ready to start, you can literally walk straight into the stadium. AFTER THE GAME: If you're looking to go out after the game, in close proximity to Rogers Centre you basically have 2 options. 1. 'King St. West': Along 'King West) there are many 'Toronna' hangouts, including Underground Garage (365 King St W.) which looks like a dive, but has strong inexpensive drinks and live music. Go further and you'll find a great pubs in The Firkin (461 King St W.), which is a laid back but happening place. If you're looking for something sophisticated go to Drake (150 King). 2. Esplanade: Along the Esplanade you will find a wall of bars and restaurants including Biermarkt, Fionn McCools and many others

The Loose Moose is a popular hangout featuring appetizers, shareables, house-made sauces, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, salads, sides, burgers, big plates, desserts, lunch specials, lots of beers selections on tap, full service bar, and wine. The OverDraught Irish Pub serves up appetizers, house made soup, and salads along with Draught Beer, Irish Blends, Signature Cocktails, and a good selection of whiskey and bourbon.
