Despite being a rather old stadium, the seating at Toulouse isn't the worst in the world – and it was upgraded in advance of the Euro 2016 tournament. As such the stadium has unrestricted views from every seat with no supporting pillars blocking your view. As always, the most vocal fans tend to seat behind the goals in the East and West Stands – and here you can get tickets for as cheap as €10. The nicer seats in the stands running the length of the pitch can cost up to €40 for a seat near the half way line.Away fans are seated in the North West section of the ground, with the away section being ringed off to prevent fan interaction.

How do I get to Stadium Municipal?

As you arrive in Toulouse by train, you will come into Gare de Toulouse-Matabiau. Luckily, that is connected to the Metro system and from there is a short stop to the stadium. Yellow Line trains will stop at one of St. Michel or Empalot Metro Stations and from these it is around a 15 minute walk to the Stadium Municipal.Esquirol Metro Station also has a free shuttle bus that will take you to either of St. Michel or Empalot.If you are driving, you can park in the immediate vicinity of the stadium but you will have to buy a parking spot from the club shop beforehand.

With the stadium being set a bit out of the city and in a sports and recreation area there aren't many places to drink in the area – indeed the only places slightly close will be La Taverne and the nearby Latin bar Nuevo Barrio Latino.As such – your drinking choices are limited to the city and the multitude of expat and Irish style bars that are there. Killarney Pub next to the Palais de Justice Metro and Mulligans by St-Michel Marcel Langer Station are two of the most popular with The London Town being a decent English themed alternative.

Ask many locals where to go for dinner, and a lot of them will recommend L'Aubrac. Tricky to find on a small side street a little away from the main drag of Toulouse, L'Aubrac is worth finding. It's a small place to do reserve a table, and indulge yourself with the charcuterie! The portions are very generous so come hungry!Le Colombier is a fantastic restaurant who specialises in local Toulouse style food as well as broader styles of French cuisine. Despite the great food and quality, you can still get yourself a 3 course meal for just €22Not the first thing you would associate with France – but there is a great burger joint in Toulouse! Burger and Co really hits the spot and won't hit your wallet hard at all.
