The WWK Arena was opened in 2009 at a cost of just €45. This really isn't a lot compared to some of the expensive grounds around the world – but the club were effective on their budget. Thus, the seats are comfortable and they all have good views of the pitchAs you can imagine, the main action areas are behind the goals, with the area behind the North Goal being the heart of where the passionate Augsburg fans sit. Tickets here will cost you just €13 for a standing spot or €23 for a seat behind the goal. The South Stand is where the away supporters are found – and because this is shared with the family enclosure, the atmosphere is a bit duller over here. The more expensive tickets are in the stands that run along the pitch and cost up to €39 for seats near the half way line for your average Bundesliga game.

Prices range from 14€ (standing) to 45€ (category 1). The WWK Arena also offers a family block which is 32€ for adults and 9€ for children. There are discounts for disabled people. The stadium itself fits a bit more than 30,000 people and has a spectator average of roughly 27,000 in the 2016/17 Bundesliga season. If planning to watch a match, generally, you could just go there half an hour before the game starts and purchase a ticket. Exceptions are matches against the big clubs like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund or Schalke 04. Ticket prices are higher and generally sold out hours before the game.

The WWK Arena is new, but it was built with the Bundesliga in mind and thus boasts every possible mod-con. The stands are banked steeply, so no view is too far from the pitch, and there is a huge standing terrace behind the goal. Tickets are €14 to stand, €25 to sit behind the goal and €45 for the sides, though expect to pay a surplus if the game is one of the 6 or so a year designated as high category.Away fans are unlikely to see much of the city, but they will see a lot of the game. They are housed in a corner but with a more than decent view.
