It's the P's inside the Weserstation – Pizza, Pretzels and Pilsner (You'll find Becks as well)! There are of course some classic Bratwursts on offer as well. But although the stadium was built in 2004, there is nothing really ground breaking in the sort of food that is on offer – you can find similar food on offer in stands all around the world.

The northern German kitchen evolves around fish. Especially in Bremen which is not far from the North Sea, fish is a must on every menu. The same counts for the Weserstadion where they offer a huge variety of fish rolls, including salmon or pickled herring. I highly recommend having one of these, they're delicious! However, if you don't like fish they also offer different kinds of sausages or snacks. One beer is 4,30€ (0,5l) which is pretty expensive compared to other stadiums in Germany, but hey, it is match day, right?

Bremen is the city that gave the world Beck's, for better or for worse, and that's what you'll be served at most places in the city. At the Weserstadion, however, they've wisely chosen the local's favourite Haake-Beck in the main, though you can also get a Beck's or, confusingly, a Corona should you really want one. It'll set you back €4.30, though, which is towards the upper end of the Bundesliga price table.Bratwurst is a middle-of-the-road €3.20, though this is one of the best around, as Werder are sponsored by Wiesenhof, one of the best known sausage brands in Germany. Like many Bundesliga grounds, the Weserstadion is cash-free, so top up a fan card ahead of time. Away fans are exempt.
