While there isn't a huge amount going on in Dingwall, they do have one incredible natural heritage site: the Tollie Red Kites. The site is home to some of Scotland's most fantastic and graceful birds of prey, such as osprey and, of course, the red kites themselves.Since it's free to enter and there are regular feeding times for the birds, there's no reason not to go; even seeing the birds picking at their food is a sight you won't soon forget.

Dingwall isn't the biggest place in the world and there isn't a tonne of things to do – however you should go and check out the Tollie Red Kites Sanctuary – you really get to see the noble birds of prey up close and personal, as well at catching the feeding time!There are also locally lead Highland tours, where you really get to know the area – as well as popping in to some local distilleries!
